This is mostly just for me, since this seems to be my place to keep track of everything and reference to! Today, we had the kids' 6 year and 2 year check up. We usually push it back just a little to do them both together and also to get away from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and recovering from as much.
So, today was the day. And, the results .... the kids are both growing like bad weeds!
We'll start with C.J. since his birthday was first. His 2 year stats are:
35-1/2 inches (72%)
29.2 lbs (63%)
This was such a relief to hear. His numbers jumped WAY up on the growth charts and are a direct result of his celiac diagnosis and completely removing gluten from his life. This all but confirmed that we are completely on the right track with him. If you have been reading for a while, you will remember that he was down in the 10% for weight and 25% for height at points. Our little boy is growing again! And at a rapid pace of catch up!!! He is healthy ... and we are soooo thankful for that!!!
On to Hayley, at 6 years old, her stats are:
50 inches (98%)
56 lbs (90%)
The Dr was absolutely shocked that this little girl grew an amazing 4 inches in one year!!!! This is an incredible growth for this age. We have felt it also. She has already started outgrowing clothes that I just bought at the beginning of the school year and ones that I bought to get her through the fall and winter months!!!! A whole new spring and summer wardrobe is in the MUST haves now!!! We have seemingly jumped about 2 clothes sizes and an amazing 2-3 shoe sizes in such a short period of time. We need a very heavy brick to put on this little girl's head!!!
So, in other news of what is going on here, Hayley has just recently had her first sleep over with a friend! She had a friend over to spend the night last weekend, and then this weekend she went over there. It was a very fun time!! She also has her FIRST LOOSE TOOTH!!! Tooth Fairy, get ready ... it's almost time to make a visit to the Poff household!!!
Otherwise, we have just been working, going to school and enjoying life. A very busy life, but that is to be expected with two little ones running around! C.J. is loving school and playing with all of his friends, as is Hayley enjoying school, soccer, dance and everything she is involved in!
So, there is my update. Mostly for my benefit, but also for you all to know where we have been and what we have been doing. I will be getting the camera out again soon, and surely have lots of pictures to post!!!
