Walking in a Winter Wonderland ...

This is one of those Texas weather phenomenons ... approximately 5 inches of snow has fallen already, and it is still snowing outside! We could have accumulations totaling upwards of 6-10 inches. It is absolutely incredible for North Texas weather, and something we certainly don't see everyday. The largest amount of snowfall by far in at least the last 32 years! Here are some pictures from this afternoon, and there surely will be more to come after C.J. gets up from his nap!!!

Here you can somewhat see how fast the snow is coming down. It gets lighter at times, then back to heavy, large snowflakes. Absolutely incredible!
This is about 10 minutes after the kids played outside ... can't even tell where they had walked or cleared the snow!
You can see compared to the soccer ball how deep the snow actually is accumulated on the grass.

Some pictures out the front ...

This car is parked in front of our neighbors house ...

The snow continues to fall, and should do so well into the midnight hour. Currently, we are hanging in right about freezing, but the temps will fall a bit overnight. We'll see how the roads get for in the morning ... just might have a snow day tomorrow after all!
