All Together

Sunday, we had a bittersweet get together with our playgroup friends to take some group pictures. We started the playgroup when our kids were all around two months old. All of the kiddos were born within weeks of each other, and we all joined a moms group at the hospital. What we did not know then was that our group would contine to grow into friendships and one day we would all be sending our first children off to Kindergarten!

While our group has just about doubled in size with some having second and even third children, our first kiddos are all at the same age and headed off to school. We thought it was only fitting to get them all together and take a few group shots of them as we send them off.

This is one of my favorites that we got from our little 'photo shoot' ...


This one is especially meaningful. When the kids were around 15 months, we took a picture similar to this one at the Arboretum. They were all so small standing on a bench such as this one, peering over the back at us. Here, they are making silly faces at us! All grown up!


This one is our "hip, hip, hooray .. we're off to kindergarten" shot! There are a couple of younger siblings included in here, one at each end of the group!


And the whole group with mommies. Bittersweet memories! It has been wonderful making such valuable friendships! Who would have thought?!!!
