I am going to go ahead and blog about this since there are so many people who already know and who are thinking of us and wondering how he is doing. To fill everyone in, our little man has been sick this week. It's not really the fact that he has been sick this particular time that has us concerned, but that he has had some seemingly ongoing problems since birth that just seem to all be compounding.
We have been told everytime he is vomiting that he has the stomach bug, however, no one else ever gets it, and it is always a "different" or "rare" strain of it that he has. His stomach and digestive system hasn't been quite right since birth, and he has had problems with certain foods. We figured out on our own that he has a sensitivity to milk and eggs, and upon eliminating them from his diet, he has been a lot better.
To make a long story short, we have become increasingly frustrated with convential medicine and them always jumping to conclusions based on the present symptoms and treating the symptoms rather than looking at the whole story and figuring out if there isn't something else going on that can be causing these symptoms.
The fact is that his growth has seemed to slow down, he is not gaining much weight and is just not himself. So, we have been in and out of Dr's this week with actual "sickness" of strep, vomiting and some kind of ear fungus. It was thought that maybe he has an immune deficiency, may be anemic, or has food allergies that we have not completely figured out.
We did a lot of bloodwork yesterday, and only have received the results to one test. His CBC came back with everything at good levels, so he is not anemic. We are still waiting on other tests to come back, and hopefully will be able to get those results tomorrow.
We will be visiting a holistic pediatrician on Monday to look at the whole pictre and see if we cannot figure something out from that stand point. We likely will be doing some allergy testing as well.
We are hoping to soon figure out what is going on with our little man. We really feel that there is something that probably has a very simple fix if we can just figure it out.
The vomiting has finally stopped as of today, and he is gaining back strength. He was more like himself today. He is eating more and more, though his diet today only consisted of small frequent amounts of cereal and applesauce.
Thanks to all of you who have been praying for our little fella to get this figured out so that he can feel better. We will continue to update everyone here.

Went through the same thing with Weston trying to get his asthma diagnosis. After being told everything from "You're a paranoid new mom" to "I can't see anything at this time" we finally videotaped him trying to breath...ended up in the hospital...switched dr's and got a diagnosis. Do not take no for an answer...ask then demand...you'll be a great advocate for C.J. and don't take any $%#@% off anyone :) Thinking of you...hugs to CJ.
i hope you guys get some answers soon, that's got to be so frustrating. he sure is a cutie!
