Easter

We have enjoyed such a wonderful Easter Sunday together! Hayley was a bit disappointed this morning to wake up and find that the Easter bunny had not yet come, and that it was raining outside. She kept moping around the house saying "how is he going to come and hide eggs when it is raining?". She was very dramatic.

Well, while Mommy and Hayley took a shower, C.J. was napping and the Easter bunny snuck into the house and hid eggs around the living room and her bedroom, leaving a baket full of books on the kitchen bar for her and C.J. Hayley was very excited and had fun hunting eggs in the house. C.J. was very interested in what was inside the eggs. Once he picked up one, he was done and was too intent on trying to get inside to see what he could find!

Once we finally got dressed, we headed over to Nana and Gramps' house. It had stopped raining and dried up enough that the Easter bunny made a second visit and hid the eggs outside. Hayley, C.J. and cousins Lilli and Emma enjoyed rummaging through their baskets, then heading out to hunt some eggs.

It was a very fun day, and we all enjoyed getting to spend quality time together. It was also a bit exhausting, as well. I was telling Charlie that this was much more enjoyable as kids than it is from the adult, parent side of things. We stuff all these eggs and hide them, for it to take just a couple of seconds for the kids to find them and tear into them. Then, we find ourselves emptying all of the eggs of their candy to put away for next year. Why didn't we just pour a bunch of candy into a bowl in the first place and let the kids just dig in?!!! So, two exhausted parents and two sugared-up kids later, we have had a wonderful Easter Sunday!
